In stark contrast to the company' previous refusal to comment on the possibility of a 3G iPhone, Apple chief executive Steve Jobs, during Tuesday's announcement of the iPhone in the UK, hinted on a timeframe for an Apple-branded 3G handset. Jobs assured that we "can expect a 3G iPhone later next year".
