Due to the expansive nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it might be difficult to keep track of them all. Here's a handy rundown of all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films thus far.
We begin in World War II with Captain America: The First Avenger, then jump to the 1990s with Captain Marvel, and finally arrive in the 2010s with Iron Man. The release of Iron Man 2 immediately follows. It is unclear how much time passes between The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers.
In 2012, Thor occurs six months before the events of the Avengers. After that comes The Avengers, and then six months later we have Iron Man 3. Timeline-wise, Thor: The Dark World occurs after the Avengers but before Ultron. Even Captain America: The Winter Soldier isn't exempt from this rule.
The original Guardians of the Galaxy film is set in 2013, while its sequel, Vol. 2nd sequel to the original story. The events of Avengers: Age of Ultron take place in 2015, while the events of Ant-Man arrive not long after. Captain America: Civil War comes after Avengers: Age of Ultron and takes place before the events of Infinity War.
After the events of Civil War, but before Infinity War, Spider-Man: Homecoming takes place. The time period covered by Doctor Strange is 2016–2017. Thor: Ragnarok occurs after Ultron but before Infinity War, and Black Panther takes place in 2017.
The year 2018 marks the culmination of the Avengers saga with the release of Avengers: Infinity War. It's unclear how long after Infinity War Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place. The storyline we have been following culminates in Avengers: Endgame, which begins in 2018 and runs until 2023.
